J.C. Somers Vintner is the partnership of Jay Somers and Ronda Newell-Somers, built on more than three decades of shared life and winemaking in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. 

After founding J. Christopher in 1996, Jay and Ronda have returned to a more intimate approach: crafting small-production wines from exceptional vineyard sites and long-standing grower relationships. Their wines reflect the character of the land through balance, restraint born of experience, and a distinctly Old World sensibility.

The New Moon on the label marks a new chapter for Jay and Ronda, grounded in experience, partnership, and lasting connections to people and place.
